Strong Financial Performance: Chunghwa Telecom reported a 4.3% year-over-year increase in net income and earnings per share (EPS) in Q1 2025, reaching NT$1.26. Revenue increased by 1.6% year-over-year to over NT$55 billion, marking the fifth consecutive year of growth, primarily driven by strong performance in ICT and solid mobile and broadband services.
Mobile and Fixed Broadband Growth: The company achieved a leading market position with a 40.5% revenue share in the mobile sector and a 39.1% subscriber share. Mobile revenue grew by 2% year-over-year, bolstered by a 42% increase in the average monthly fee uplift from 5G migration. Fixed broadband business also performed well, with ARPU (average revenue per user) increasing by 2.1% year-over-year.
ICT Business Expansion: The enterprise ICT business showed remarkable growth, with a 13% year-over-year revenue increase, driven by strong project revenue recognition and a focus on recurring revenue. Key areas such as cybersecurity, IDC, and cloud services saw year-over-year growth rates of 40%, 29%, and 13%, respectively, highlighting continued demand in these segments.
