Kirsten Gillibrand is a Democratic Senator from New York. She is a senior member of the Armed Services Committee. She also serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Select Committee on Intelligence. Additionally, she is the ranking member on the Special Committee on Aging. Gillibrand has been involved in legislation related to stock trading by members of Congress, and in July 2023, she introduced bipartisan legislation with Senator Josh Hawley to ban stock ownership for members of Congress, senior members of the executive branch, and their spouses and dependents.
