Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island has been serving in the Senate since 1996. As a member of the Democratic Party, he participates in several committees. Reed is on the Committee on Appropriations, the Committee on Armed Services (Chair), the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and the Select Committee on Intelligence. He is also an ex officio member of all subcommittees within the Armed Services Committee and the Select Committee on Intelligence.
